I have a fairly good memory, but I usually miss a lot my first time through a book because I read so fast. Fortunately, I love revisiting good books.
If you're looking for good sci-fi, you're not likely to go wrong with Willis. I just finished The Doomsday Book and thought that was terrific, as well. It's more of an investment than Remake or Bellwether, since it's a lot longer, but I tore through it.
